Melbourne City FC: Our Champions
Brand 03.06.25
This City doesn’t sleep.
It wins.
Melbourne City FC are the A-League 2024/25 Men’s Champions after a 1–0 Grand Final win over the weekend.
The Women’s team also took out the Premiership, marking an undefeated regular season run, and made history as runners-up in the Asian Champions League – the furthest any Australian women’s team has gone.
Since announcing our major partnership in October, it’s been a whirlwind. From naming rights at the ctrl:cyber Campus and ctrl:cyber Pitch, to matchdays at AAMI Park, behind-the-scenes tours, and mascot moments – we’ve shared the journey with a club that keeps raising the standard.
We haven’t just watched Melbourne City play the game, we’ve moved alongside a club that knows exactly what it stands for. From the regular season through finals, their commitment to excellence, development, and the future of Australian football has been clear.
At Ctrl we’re proud to call them our champions.
Why Melbourne City FC?
Melbourne City FC and Ctrl work because the values run deep.
Advancing Excellence: Melbourne City FC consistently raise the bar. It’s not about one-off wins; it’s about setting the pace and lifting the standard. That drive mirrors how Ctrl approaches the cybersecurity industry.
Empowering Future Talent: From the City academy and youth development to women’s football, City invest in what comes next. So do we. Ctrl supports the growth of new voices in cyber and sport – particularly women and young talent.
Supporting the Women’s Game: Backing the women’s game has been a major driver behind this partnership. This season, our City Women team made history – becoming the first Australian club to make the final of the AFC Women’s Champions League. It was more than progress, but proof of what’s possible when women’s football is backed with intent.
Building Community: Both organisations know the importance of staying grounded. What we build has to mean something – to fans, to teams, to people. That’s why this partnership works.
A title that means more
Melbourne City didn’t just take the title but owned every part of the journey. All the way to finals, they led with intent and played with conviction. We are proud to move alongside a club that refuses to stand still and continues to raise the standard for everyone around them.
This win matters– for what it took to get there, for what it says about what comes next. It’s a win for the club, and for everyone pushing to make Australian football bigger and better.
This City doesn’t sleep. It wins.
