Recently, the ctrl:cyber team spent time supporting EatUp Australia’s efforts to combat childhood hunger. Since 2013, EatUp has been delivering fresh sandwiches and snacks to schools, ensuring that children who experience hunger are nourished and ready to learn.

Ctrl’s Contribution

In just 45 minutes, with the guidance of EatUp, we assembled 1,117 sandwiches. Each sandwich represented a small but essential part of EatUp’s bigger mission: making sure that no child has to face a school day hungry. For us, it was a hands-on way to give back and directly impact children’s lives – those 1 in 5 Australian kids who are at risk of food insecurity.

Why It’s Important

EatUp’s mission focuses on ensuring that no child goes hungry, delivering meals directly to schools where they’re needed most.

From grassroots beginnings, Eat Up is now Australia’s only organisation providing free lunches for students on a national scale. Their sustainable approach is thanks to ongoing donations of bread, snacks and materials.

It’s a reminder that even small actions can have a significant impact on someone’s day, especially when it comes to kids.

Get Involved

The experience left us encouraged and hopeful for what can be achieved when people come together for a cause. If you’re looking to make a difference, you can learn more about EatUp’s work and ways to support their mission on their website

Together, we can make a difference, one sandwich at a time.
